A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome once again to LITTLE YORKIE KISS!
ME WITH BEIJINHO'S (sire) & MENINA's (dam) LITTER OF 6 PUPS AT 5WKS OF AGE!
D.O.B: NOV 20, 2006
My name is DEANA and i'm the owner/breeder of my YORKSHIRE TERRIER'S.
People often ask me how i started this whole YORKSHIRE TERRIER venture. Well it all began when i travelled to BRASIL, my home country in 2003 for a 4 month vacation. There i met the most adorable yorkie BEIJINHO who is now one of my lil stud muffins. At that time i just had my shih-tzu cross pet KIA and i was looking and wanting a friend for her, preferably a smaller breed and one that also does not shed (family member with allergies). YORKSHIRE TERRIERS were surely on the top of my list, along with a few other non-shedding toy breeds. When i saw BEIJINHO for the very first time i had no doubt, #1 that i wanted him and #2 that yorkies were the breed for me! After much research and making sure i could safely bring him home back to Canada with me BEIJINHO became officially mine!!!

I immediately fell head over heels with the YORKSHIRE TERRIER breed. After much thought and watching BEIJINHO grow up into a handsome little guy that he is, I knew in my heart i wanted to breed yorkies someday. I want to devote myself to not only better the breed, but also educate others about these loving little creatures. Yorkies are very unique and fascinating. They are so loyal, alert and always full of life. There is never a dull moment with these little monkeys.
After much pondering and still wanting to follow my dreams of someday becoming a responsible and loving breeder my heart was swept away once again by my very first female yorkie MENINA (bought in Canada) who joined my family with lots of love. Since MENINA there was no stopping me.
I later met a wonderful YORKSHIRE TERRIER breeder located in BRASIL. RITA has become a great friend and mentor in my journey in owning and breeding YORKSHIRE TERRIERS. This whole experience wouldn't be the same and as wonderful as it is if it weren't for RITA and my mother ELAINE, who too has been very supportive in allowing me to follow my dreams! RITA has and continues to teach me all the ropes when it comes to breeding YORKSHIRE TERRIERS and all the pros and cons that follows it. I am very grateful to have her share with me the love of this breed.
I also want to take this time to thank MARLENE, my friend, mentor & co-breeder who has been breeding YORKIES for 25+ years and still has such a loving passion for these lil dogs. Marlene has taken me under her wings and helped me to spread my own and fly. She has helped me in so many ways in regards to breeding, and still continues to be very resourceful when it comes to hands on stuff & more. Everytime she opens her mouth i listen very carefully, wanting to take in as much as possible. I also want to thank her for trusting me with her 2 lil pumpkins (Pele & Querida) that I bought from her for my own breeding program. I couldn't ask for more beautiful and sweet indiviuals.
After my female yorkie MENINA i later welcomed 2 other females yorkies from BRASIL; BAMBINA and BONITA who are equally as special to me. A year and a bit later i have welcome my female XUXA and a little stud named PELE to our yorkie family!
I think what strikes people the most is my age (22 years old) and how i could be so young and doing what i do. I always tell people it doesn't matter how old one is, but most importantly if they love what they are doing. They quickly realize how passionate i am about my dogs and how knowledgeable i am about the breed. I want the best for my dogs and my puppies that are placed for adoption, they are my children and I am 100% devoted to them.

Each and everyday I learn something new about yorkies, and each and everyday i strive to become a better breeder. Its hard saying good bye to my puppies but its all worth it when I see how happy I have made a family because of their new lil addition. Once someone buys a puppy from me, they become part of my LITTLE YORKIE KISS family. I am and will always be here for any support they may need if that is babysitting, grooming service, or any questions or concerns they may have about their brand new addition to the family! ~GOD BLESS~
